Drinks with Mikaela Stafrace

Melbourne Forum's most recent Member Drinks conversation was led by Mikaela Stafrace, Chair of Rozana Australia and a Director of the Rozana Intnational Board. Mikaela spoke on the theme “Building shared trust between Palestinian and Jewish clinicians”.
In a deeply engaging discussion, members and guests heard about the work of Project Rozana, founded by Ron Finkel AM, and now a global movement using health as a bridge for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The initiative supports Palestinians accessing care in Israeli hospitals while also helping establish vital field health facilities in Gaza and the Palestinian territories.
Through these programs, clinicians and health professionals from across the region work side by side to train, treat and, importantly, come to know one another - beyond conflict and division.
It was a truly inspiring conversation that highlighted the powerful role health can play in building trust, strengthening social cohesion and creating meaningful human connection.
