Announcement of Under 40s Membership

Over recent months, many of you have raised the importance of strengthening engagement with younger members and potential new members. The Board has also heard your valuable feedback on the need for greater diversity across our membership - and we wholeheartedly agree. Diverse voices enrich our conversations and broaden our collective perspective.

We understand that our annual membership fee represents a significant personal investment. Whilst financial sustainability is essential for Melbourne Forum, we also recognise the need to make membership more accessible to early-career professionals and emerging leaders. Feedback suggests that cost poses a barrier.

That’s why we’re delighted to announce that at our recent board meeting, the Directors passed the introduction of an Under 40s Membership, launching on 1 July 2025. This new membership will offer the full Melbourne Forum experience - including access to all events, voting rights at the AGM, and eligibility for board or committee roles - at a reduced annual fee of $300 (+GST). Event attendance will be at standard member prices.

If you’re already a member under the age of 40, this new membership fee will be available to you at your next renewal.
