The Coffee Colloquium | Morning Coffee Connection

Mingle | Engage | Connect

Wake up and join fellow members for our Morning Coffee Connections catch-up at Brunetti Oro Cafe, 140 Swanston Street (not Flinders Lane)

Hosted by Prof Barbara van Ernst AM, Dr Jonathan Spears and Kylie Bierman

Melbourne Forum thrives at the intersection of our city’s intellectual grit and civic curiosity. We are a community bound by a shared appetite for big ideas, diverse perspectives, and shaping Melbourne’s trajectory.

Our Morning Coffee Connections gatherings are completely agenda-free—no podiums, no curated slides, and no set topics. Think of it as the ultimate morning blend. It is a relaxed space designed for sharp minds to collide, collaborate, and strike up unexpected friendships. Here, the camaraderie comes naturally, and the intellectual sparks fly as fast as a barista pulling a perfect double-shot flat white.

Fuel your morning dialogue and swap perspectives with Melbourne's finest thought leaders and deepest listeners.

Drop in any time between 8:30am and 10:00am to kickstart your day with high-quality caffeine and even higher-quality conversation. If you miss this round, don't worry—Connections is a recurring staple on the Melbourne Forum calendar.

We look forward to raising a mug with you and brewing the ideas that enrich our city.
