D'Lan Contemporary - Private Viewing of SIGNIFICANT
Cultural Life Series
Hosted by Peter Lamell
We’re delighted to offer our members and their guests an exclusive opportunity to attend a private viewing at D’Lan Contemporary, renowned for showcasing some of Australia’s most distinctive and dynamic Indigenous artists.
SIGNIFICANT is D'Lan Contemporary's annual showcase of the finest Australian First Nations art.
Now in its second decade, Significant endures as D'Lan Galleries flagship exhibition, consistently presenting the finest secondary market offering of Australian First Nations art. This landmark annual event offers collectors rare access to museum-quality paintings and sculptures. Again, this year’s exhibition will open simultaneously at our galleries in Melbourne, Sydney, and New York.
The foundation of this year’s exhibition is a remarkable selection of early Papunya paintings by several of the most celebrated artists from the seminal 1971-72 period, including Kaapa Mbitjana Tjampitjinpa, Johnny Warangula Tjupurrula, and Uta Uta Tjangala.
Director and Founder, D'Lan Davidson, will be on-hand to guide us through the exhibit and speak to the stunning pieces on display.
