Join Melbourne Forum members for this private cooking class with Charu, a chef and restaurateur from Colombo, Sri Lanka,seeking refuge in Australia.
Free to Feed is a not-for-profit social enterprise that recognizes the entrepreneurial characteristics and existing skills of refugees and new migrants, as well as the significant challenges that they face in gaining meaningful employment and/or starting enterprises in Australia.
Working with support agencies such as the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and the Australian Red Cross, Free to Feed supports refugees and asylum seekers who often have compelling stories to tell but do not have the opportunity to share these experiences and connect with others.
Join Charu to learn about recipes and techniques handed down from past generations, and to hear stories of courage that celebrate Australia's amazing and diverse cultures.
