No-one can retire from their passion and Bernie Geary is proof of that.
Bernie spent more than 40 years challenging the system for our vulnerable community. He was Victoria’s first Commissioner for Children and Young People, monitoring a range of government services directed towards Victorian children in the areas of Child Protection, Out-of-Home Care and more generally safety standards.
It is no surprise that Bernie received the Order of Australia in 2002 for services to young people and a Centenary Medal in 2000.
Bernie has now focussed his attention on the homeless of Melbourne, chairing a weekly meeting of homelessness services and authorities.
Join us for lunch with the exceptionally passionate Bernie Geary to discuss our vulnerable community.
