Penny Armytage was admitted to partnership at KPMG in 2012 following almost a decade as Secretary of the Victorian Department of Justice. Her responsibilities in that role included courts and prisons. Penny is a former Director of Child Protection at the Department of Human Services and a former Commissioner of the Office of Correctional Services. She is uniquely placed to discuss the challenges facing the correctional sector at a time when the rate of imprisonment in Victoria (at a cost of approximately $100,000 per prisoner per annum) has reached levels not seen since the 19th century. Are we getting it right? Please join this interesting and important discussion.
