The problem is that two million people in Australia struggle to put food on the table, while $8 billion worth of food is wasted each year and the problem appears to be growing.
SecondBite exists to provide access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need. They do this by rescuing and redistributing surplus fresh food through 1,179 community food programs, building community capacity in food skills and nutrition and advocating for an end to food insecurity.
Ian will be sharing his journey on Thursday 10 September at fortyfive downstairs. The evening's chair will be Melbourne Forum Board Member Peter Lamell who has worked in the Energy, Power, Resources, Services, Telecommunications sectors and in his spare time, Peter is also a passionate fundraiser for SecondBite.
Come along and enjoy meeting and listening to Ian, he is a remarkable man who has and is making a difference.
