The Changing Face of Media - does this include selling the ABC? Is quality journalism suffering and how will The Age and Fairfax survive in the expanding digital landscape?
Alex began at The Age in 1999 and became the editor in December 2016.
He started in the sports department, becoming Sunday Age sports editor in 2006 and sports editor in 2011, leading the Fairfax Media team at the London Olympics in 2012. Alex moved to the news desk as deputy news director in 2015 before being appointed news director the following year and editor six months later.
Having seen the evolution in media from London to Melbourne over the past 19 years, Alex is well positioned to talk to the challenges of the changing face of media at this Members' Lunch on Wednesday 1st August 2018.
