How can the private and public sector work together to increase investment in green infrastructure

Members Lunch with Deputy Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Arron Wood

19th October 2017

There are so many brilliant ideas to increase investment in green infrastructure and the Melbourne City Council continually reviews its programs, as well as the city's resilience to climate change, urban heat, flooding and population growth.

Infrastructure Victoria has proposed a program to expand green infrastructure across the state – including urban forests, gardens, parks, highway verges and waterways in its 30 year plan. Arron will tackle the question of how the private and public sector can work together to increase investment in green infrastructure.

Arron Wood is in his second term at Melbourne City Council, having been elected in 2012, and re-elected as Deputy Lord Mayor in 2016. His passion is as an Australian environmental  educator. He was the youngest appointed Governor of University College (Melbourne University) and founded and runs the highly successful Kids Teaching Kids program to educate students about environmental issues.

Please join Arron to connect with the challenge!
